Travelog.net

A Real-Time Web Travelogue of a 'Round the World Odyssey

That's how John Berns describes his experiment in real-time web publishing from remote locations around the globe. Travelog.net covers his journey as he travels around the world capturing his experience for publication on the web. John "quit a perfectly good Internet publishing job" and set out to conduct this experiment. John is traveling "backpack traveler" style; it's low-budget living and everything he carries fits into a backpack. He is using an IBM ThinkPad 560 laptop and a Kodak DCS-120 digital camera to capture, edit, and publish his adventures. Travelog.net contains humorous stories of his adventures, pictures, information for the backpack/budget/shoestring/adventure traveler, hints, tips and many links to travel, health, travel photography and destinations on the 'net. Travelog.net also has information on how John Berns produces the web site with limited tools from remote locations.
