We have completed the move to a new hosting company. We're also rebuilding our backend system. In the next few weeks our editors will begin working through the backlog of work. When the backlog is cleared, then we'll start working on the submission process.

John McCrory's Pause

Online since April 1996, PAUSE is an online publication covering urban affairs in New York and the nation, city planning, poetry, and literature. Its distinctive voice transcends the bland and cynical conventional wisdom to ask, argue, and answer the questions that most writers are too lazy to consider. Read PAUSE and find information, ideas, and opinions you won't find anywhere else.

Submission Guidelines
Contributions are sought that fit in with PAUSE's editorial vision, which can only be understood by reading many of the site's articles. Submissions must be extremely well-written to gain publication on PAUSE; we are more of a publication for the practicing writer than the emerging writer. Muckraking articles that expose little known facts about major institutions in American life are encouraged.
