March 7, 2005
We have completed the move to a new hosting company. We're also rebuilding our backend system. In the next few weeks our editors will begin working through the backlog of work. When the backlog is cleared, then we'll start working on the submission process.

The Oracular Tree

The Oracular Tree publishes poetry, essays, fiction, non-fiction, plays, and visual art that seek to critique, transform and balance the predominantly materialist and death-worshipping values and norms of western culture with images of values and norms that are spiritual and life-affirming. We are looking for strong, passionate, hopeful, far-reaching transformations of standard western cultural values.

Submission Guidelines
We are looking for fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, artwork, etc. that offer positive transformations of western cultural paradigms. At this time we are particularly looking for non-fiction submissions dealing with global cultural awareness, voluntary simplicity, and new and creative economic strategies for the common person. We want well thought out, well-written submissions, however, if we really like your idea, we'll work with you on it. We also have no problem publishing drafts of submissions if the author wishes to solicit reader input. Life is, after all, a work in progress. Writing must be submitted via email in plain text or HTML formats. Visual Art must be submitted in jpeg (jpg) or gif formats via email.
