Genetic Engineering of Food in Worldwide News

Genetic engineers are modifying DNA to customize and patent the world's crops and farm animals. Many people in the world are seriously concerned for the long term consequences of genetic engineering for life on earth. The issue is broad, with ethical, economic, ecological, political, legal, medical, and nutritional facets. Since we all have to eat, and since most of the food on our supermarket shelves already contains unlabeled genetically engineered ingredients, this newsletter takes as its focus worldwide news on genetic engineering in agriculture.
